To assess the effects of students' continuous self-evaluations on their self-efficacy in research and academic achievement, a sample of 38 education undergraduates at the University of Mashhad was given the self-efficacy questionnaire prior and after two courses on Research Methods in one of which (the experimental group)continuous self-evaluations were conducted. The comparison of the two groups' self-efficacy in research yielded a significant difference. However, a comparison of their academic achievement scores did not show such a difference. It is therefore, recommended that self-evaluation be incorporated within the curriculum.
