Career calling is an attitude in which an individual’s job is the main and central part of his or her life and is used by them to help others. The main objective of the current study was to evaluate the factor structure and validate the short form of the multidimensional calling measure (MCM) among the students of Isfahan University. In this descriptive survey whose objective was an applied one, the population includes all the students of Isfahan University, out of which, 307 participants were selected using convenient sampling. To collect the data, a translated version of the 9-item multidimensional calling measure was distributed among the participants. This measure was first translated into Persian and then was translated back into English. Next, a group of experts evaluated the questionnaire in order to determine its cultural sensitivity, the clarity of language of the questions, discrepancies, and errors of meaning finding. The results of exploratory factor analysis revealed three acceptable sub-scales. The Cronbach alpha coefficient for the entire questionnaire was 0.72 and for the subscales, this coefficient varied from 0.66 to 0.77. All the items had acceptable item-general correlation and the results of the test-pretest indicated the sustainability for the career calling measure and its sub-scales. Moreover, the results showed that the Persian version of the multidimensional calling measure (MCM) had acceptable reliability and validity.
