In order to identify the existing areas and conditions for the use of virtual education at the centers for higher education, a sample of 245 students and 103 teachers at the University of Kurdestaan was questioned on the subject using a questionnaire with an internal consistency of 0.84. 12 of the teachers were initially interviewed. The data analyses revealed that the conditions of the needed infra-structure, teachers' and students' skills, and the necessary instructional design are among the chief factors in utilizing virtual education. Based on the interview data, it seems that teachers are more traditional and do not consider virtual education as effective.
