Abstract

The present research aims at explaining the necessity of entrepreneurial training and its implementation in schools. For this purpose, Work and Technology books were analyzed based on the educational pack of "Entrepreneurship: Owning Your Future" (NFTE) as a model (an educational pack for entrepreneurship training which was designed for grades of 5-12 in developed countries). Categories related to entrepreneurial knowledge and information were basic in note taking and content analysis.  The results obtained from content analysis of work and technology books and the model were compared quantitatively and qualitatively. The results indicated that frequency of entrepreneurial knowledge and information categories in pictures and texts in work and technology books were respectively 7 and 13 cases and in the model were 32 and 51 cases and the result of Square test showed that the frequency of pictures and texts were 19/92 and 14/74 (P<0/01) which was meaningful and this frequency was much more in the model.  The qualitative   results showed attention to education of concepts such as entrepreneurship, features of successful entrepreneurs, advantages of being entrepreneur, starting a business in schools. It is suggested that work and technology books be evaluated according to the presented model of entrepreneurial education.
