To understand the way by which people in general, and addicts in particular, go about changing their daily habits even after years of being habituated or addicted, a limited number of addicts were interviewed. The content analysis of the responses revealed that both becoming an addict and abandoning addiction have processes of their own and go through stages in which different factors are of different degrees of influence.
