The opinions of teachers of religion on the relationship between their teaching quality and students\' religious behaviors

Abstract

To survey the opinions of teachers of religion on the relationship between their teaching quality and their students' religious behaviors, a sample of 52 female high school teachers who taught religion was selected and then given a questionnaire on a variety of areas of concern among which were the two mentioned above. The internal consistency of the instrument was assessed to be 0.89. Data analyses revealed a significant relationship between the opinions of the surveyed teachers on the following subjects: curriculum content, quality of teaching methods, religious programs in school, appropriate articulation and character of the teacher, AND students' religious behaviors.
