The strategies of development and application of information and communications technology in schools

Abstract

This research aimed to survey the strategies of development and application of information and communications technology (ICT) in schools. The population of the study included educational experts and high school principles. In order to perform the survey, 50 experts of education and ICT and 100 high school principals of Isfahan were selected through purposeful sampling and randomized multistage cluster sampling. Data was collected using interviews and a questionnaire, and a content analysis checklist. The findings of the study revealed the most important strategies to develop and apply ICT in education to be structural and administrational, educational, motivational and cultural strategies.
