Abstract
Considering the relationship between individuals and their group, it is expected that the psychological wellbeing of the individual being related to that of the organization. To explore this relationship, a sample of 724 tenured staff members of the four universities in the western region of Iran was randomly selected from among a population of 1334. Two questionnaires were used to assess the two constructs. The data analyses revealed that the organizational wellbeing is above average from the respondents\' perspective, while their own general wellbeing is on borderline. Surprisingly, no relationship between the organizational and individual wellbeing was demonstrated. Men, however, seem to be healthier than women, while levels of education and experience does not affect psychological wellbeing of the staff.
